How to upload your website
There are many programs used for FTP access we have some in on our website in the files section.
Some popular FTP programs:
Bullet Proof FTP
WS-FTP
CuteFTP
And there are other programs that are Freeware, and Shareware that can be found at http://tucows.com.au - this is a software download site that contains a huge selection of software to download.
How do I go about uploading a web site I have created?
The process involves getting your webpage 'whatever.html' from your computer onto our webserver using FTP.
You will need to upload all graphics and webpages to the webserver. All the webpages should have '.html' on the end of them to indicate they are a webpage file.
First you need to start your FTP program, then enter the FTP address you are uploading to.
In this case the server is members.aardvark.net.au
Secondly you will need to enter your username and password for accessing the FTP server.
This is the same username and password you use for logging on to your Internet account or checking your email.
Connect to the FTP server and you will see a blank folder.
Anything you place into this folder can be seen by the outside world, so all of your webpage files will need to be placed here.
